These are some excellent renders, but unfortunately this is just a concept Sony Cybershot camera called ‘Snap’. It was obviously inspired by a man’s wallet, the surface is even covered in leather. Like some other ultra compact Cybershot cameras, you slide the cover to activate, only it pivots from a corner for easy one handed operation. But aside from that, it’s just another typical Cybershot.

SeaLife has a new digital camera for those who like to spend their time underwater, the DC800. This 8 megapixel camera is capable of producing extremely sharp images at depths of up to 200 feet. When you get all shriveled up and head for land again, the DC800 can be used in dry conditions as well. Just remove the slim camera from the waterproof housing and you’re ready. There’s virtually no shutter lag with fast shutter time and quick-start.

Panasonic is bringing a new wireless digital camera to the ranks of its TZ-family. This model will be known as the LUMIX DMC-TZ50 and it will price at around $450.

The LUMIX DMC-TZ50 from Panasonic is a 9.1-megapixel shooter with a 28mm wide-angle lens and 10x optical zoom. It can be used to wirelessly connect to a hotspot and upload the photos to Google’s Picasa Web Albums either one at a time or multiple photos at a time. Panasonic is trying to push using a T-Mobile HotSpot for this feature, offering a year of free wireless usage from T-Mobile. Read the rest of this entry »

Packing such a wallop where megapixels are concerned, the Nikon P80 is tipped to capture fine detail complete with the creative freedom to crop and edit. Its 18x Zoom-NIKKOR lens covers focal lengths from 27-486mm (35mm format equivalent), while Optical Vibration Reduction ensures steady shots are always taken no matter how much you zoom into the subject while standing in the cold with less clothes on than you wish you had.

In addition to the recently launched Exilim Card EX-S10, Casio has presented another digital camera codenamed Exilim EX-Z9.
The 8-megapixel camera has the usual features for this kind of device - anti-shake, face recognition, and different shooting modes. The built-in memory isn’t much - 18.6Mb - but obviously there is support for memory cards: SD, MMC, and others. As for the lens, it provides a 3X optical zoom, or 4X on the digital mode.
