Your weird USB combination of the day comes in the form of a this little dog-shaped 4 port USB 2.0 hub. It’s not just any dog, though… It’s a cycloptic dog, with a giant glowing LED in the middle of its head. If this freaks you out a little bit, don’t fret, just pull the head off of the body and you’ve got an auto-tuning AM/FM radio with an integrated speaker that runs off of 2 AAA batteries. How cool is that? Yeah, you’re right, not especially. At only $20, though, it’s hard to get past the “why the heck not” factor.

It makes sense to have man’s best friend on your desktop, serving your USB port and radio needs. Even if your robo-dog has a head that looks like it met a Mac truck head on. One rather creepy design aspect is that the head can be detached, giving you an instant portable radio with auto-scan from 88MHz to 108MHz.
Put it back on the body, and like a zombie reborn, it will turn it into a crappy computer speaker. It sports two USB 2.0 ports on each side.(If it spawns robo offspring, these are what they will suckle, getting precious mothers milk of USB juice.) $19.15 will get you this bizarre desk pet.

Green House has just released its GH-EXC-ESA2 card that increases the connectivity of your notebook. It will feature a couple of 3.0Gbps eSATA slots, a JBOD external drive, and support for RAID 0/1. Not only will it come in the older PCMCIA Type II model, there will also be a PCI Express version. Both devices have been certified to run on both Windows XP and Vista, so Mac owners are out of the loop yet again. Bummer! No idea on how much this costs, nor whether it will be available outside of Japan or not.
